The Santa Maria Drop-In Firebox is rooted in a culinary tradition dating back to the 19th century on California’s Central Coast. As Santa Maria natives, we grew up around Live Oak fires, family gatherings, and weekends filled with barbecue. These grills are our tribute to that heritage—bringing authentic flavor and timeless design to your backyard.

Easy to Operate
Cooking on a Santa Maria Grill is simple:

Build your wood or charcoal fire directly on the firebrick floor.

Once the logs glow, place food on the grate.

Adjust grate height using the side hand wheel for perfect heat control.

Stoke the fire as needed, and add fuel by lifting the grate.

Clean up by raising the grate and scooping out ash with a flathead shovel.
Rotisserie Upgrade
For an even greater cooking experience, add our height-adjustable rotisserie system. The electric motor handles loads up to 85 lbs, making it perfect for roasting meats and vegetables over live fire.

Our grills are compatible with all hardwoods, lump charcoal, or briquettes. For faster startup, add our gas-assist log lighter option to ignite fires quickly and easily.

- Height adjustable cooking grate system has 30” of travel to achieve perfect cooking temperatures as well as making ash clean out a breeze with a hand shovel.
- Achieve fast and easy grate height adjustment by turning the crank-the grate will stop at the desired height.
- Steel expanded (diamond) cooking grate for form and function. Seasons just like a cast iron skillet. Specialty grate upgrades are available.
