Argentine Grill for Open Fire Grilling
The primal practice of open fire grilling becomes easier with our contemporary design. We know how to build grills that perform after using and building thousands of Argentine grills. Indeed, a fully enclosed, brick-lined firebox provides the strongest and most functional design for wood-fired cooking.
What’s so special?
First, our Argentine grills eliminate the need for transferring messy embers from brasero to hearth. Additionally, we cut out unnecessary front doors or vents that add cost but no functional benefit. Consequently, you will experience optimal airflow and heat retention with our brick-lined open firebox design, cutting fuel usage in half. After you add your fuel in the firebox, stoke the fire with a poker to even out the coalbed. While cooking, easily adjust the grate height and add fuel as needed.
Furthermore, the large upper rack is perfect for offloading, warming, and resting finished cuts. Moreover, consider adding our new full-height wind block to cook low and slow on the top rack. It’s our most versatile grill yet.
What is Corten weathering steel?
Corten steel includes a group of steel alloys developed to eliminate the need for painting. Consequently, it forms a stable rust-like appearance if exposed to the weather for several years. Often, it serves as an ornamental feature in modern architecture.
Why is Corten a good material choice for our Argentine grill base?
Corten has increased resistance to atmospheric corrosion compared to other metals. Specifically, it resists the corrosive effects of rain, snow, ice, fog, and other meteorological conditions. Furthermore, Corten develops a coating of oxidation over the metal, which inhibits deeper penetration and negates the need for painting and costly rust-prevention maintenance. Essentially, the steel rusts, and that rust forms a protective coating that slows future corrosion. Over time, the patina changes and develops into a rich brown, making your Argentine grill an eye-catching conversation piece.
What are the benefits of stainless material?
Our Argentine grill’s upper framework uses 304-grade stainless steel. Importantly, the material is non-porous, making it ideal for food safety and ease of cleaning. Additionally, we TIG and laser weld our Argentine grill frames by hand, a time-consuming fabrication process that most companies don’t bother with.
