Many times a customer will have a outdoor kitchen or island with an existing opening. We build countertop drop in units to fit any size opening. This applies to countertop drop in firebox and countertop drop in frame styles.
When you give us your measurements you'll want to check your opening for squareness. First measure the length (left to right) of the opening on both sides and in multiple places in the center. We need the smallest of those length measurements.
Next measure the width (front to back) of the opening on both sides and in multiple places in the center. We need the smallest of those width measurements.
If you are ordering a drop in firebox style and have a firebox height restriction, you'll want to provide the measurement from the counter surface to the bottom of that restriction. Typically our drop in fireboxes are 14" from rim to firebox bottom, so if you have less than 15" tolerance this is especially important. Our drop in frames are 12" from rim to bottom of channel track.
We will note your existing opening size on your order and build your grill to suit.
